2019 IMPACT FFC GRANTEES
Kids In Crisis
Grant Awarded: $100,000 Impact FFC Grant
Greenwich, CT
Mission: To ensure the well-being of children through vital 24-hour services. KIC provides housing and comprehensive medical, educational and therapeutic support services for underserved and underprivileged children of all ages in Fairfield County.
Project Funded: KidTalk will transform the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich from an after-school and summer recreation and character-building agency into a 24/7 resource meeting its kids’ compelling mental health needs. KidTalk enables KIC to have “boots on the ground” crisis prevention by meeting hundreds of kids where they go daily and thus generating a far greater and immediate reach for preventing crises from entering their lives, including providing parents with new resources.
